How Much Does It Cost to Build an App in 2026? A Real-World Pricing Guide

An honest pricing guide for mobile and web app development in 2026. Ranges by project type, what the price includes and how to avoid cost overruns.

It’s the first question any business owner asks when they decide to go digital: how much is this going to cost me? The honest answer is that it depends—but that doesn’t mean there aren’t clear ranges. In this guide we break down real 2026 market prices in Latin America, what drives them and how to keep your project from turning into a money pit.

Price ranges by project type

Project typeLatin America rangeUS/Europe rangeEstimated timeline
Professional landing page$800 – $2,500$3,000 – $8,0001–3 weeks
Simple web app (CRUD + auth)$3,000 – $8,000$15,000 – $40,0006–12 weeks
Mobile app (iOS + Android)$8,000 – $25,000$40,000 – $150,0003–6 months
Platform with integrations$15,000 – $45,000$80,000 – $300,0004–9 months
ERP / Enterprise system$30,000 – $100,000+$200,000+6–18 months

What determines the price of an app?

These are the 5 factors that move the price the most, in order of impact:

  1. Functional complexity: Every new feature (push notifications, payments, geolocation, advanced reports, multiple roles) adds weeks of work. It’s the #1 factor.
  2. Target platforms: A web app is cheaper. Adding native iOS and Android multiplies the cost. React Native or Flutter let you use a single codebase for both platforms, cutting costs by 30–40%.
  3. Third-party integrations: Connecting to payment gateways, existing ERPs, vendor APIs or legacy systems can account for 20–40% of the total budget.
  4. Team experience: A junior freelancer charges less per hour but can take 3 times longer and leave you with technical debt. A senior team charges more per hour and ends up cheaper overall.
  5. Team location: A developer in Venezuela or Colombia may cost $20–$45/hour vs. $80–$150/hour in Mexico City or Buenos Aires, and $120–$250/hour in the US.

Why prices vary so much between vendors

Getting 3 quotes ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 for the same project is completely normal, and there are legitimate reasons for it:

  • The cheapest one may be using templates or leaving out testing, deployment, documentation and post-launch support
  • The most expensive one may carry the overhead of a large company with layers of management that won’t add value to your project
  • The middle price isn’t necessarily the best: evaluate the team, the portfolio and similar use cases

Red flags in a quote

Turn down any proposal with these traits:

  • A fixed price without a detailed functional specification (nobody can quote without knowing what’s being built)
  • No partial deliverables or payment milestones—you pay everything upfront
  • Testing and QA aren’t included in the scope
  • “Maintenance” isn’t defined in terms of hours or an SLA
  • No written contract, or contracts that exclude delivery of the source code

What the contract should include

Before signing, make sure the contract specifies:

  • Detailed functional scope (a requirements document or user stories)
  • Ownership of the source code (it should be yours at the end)
  • Delivery milestones and the payments tied to each one
  • Change request policy and how changes are billed
  • Post-launch warranty (at least 30 days of free bug fixes)
  • Access to repositories, servers and credentials

How SekinSoft works

At SekinSoft we work in three phases: Discovery (1–2 weeks where we define the requirements and deliver a detailed functional document), Iterative development (2-week sprints with client demos), and Launch and support. We only quote after Discovery, once we know exactly what will be built.

Our prices fall within the Latin America range in the table above, with senior teams and 100% of the source code handed over to the client. If you have a project in mind, the first step is a free conversation.
